BOOKS THAT I WOULD SUGGEST
Books On Typology and General Biblical Overview
Meredith Kline, “Kingdom Prologue” This work is from my favorite author of all time. I am a Kline fan in theology, typology, and even in his ethical thinking. This work is a difficult read, but well worth the effort involved. After reading through this book, you will understand the large picture of Scripture from a kingdom perspective. There are easier reads out there, but this one is great!

Meredith Kline, “God, Heaven, and Har Magedon” See my comments above and apply them to this Kline book.
4.5 out of 5 stars
Meredith Kline, “Glory In Our Midst” Again, see my comments on Kingdom prologue and apply them here. This book deals with the book of Zechariah.
5 out of 5 stars
Ed Clowney, “The Unfolding Mystery” This is the book that helped me see Christ in all of the Scriptures. This work of Ed Clowney is the book that inspired me to write my first doctoral work in this area. While it is not the deepest work highlighted on this page, but I can say that it might be the most profound. The average layperson can, and will, enjoy this book immensely. It will aid you in making connections from the OT to the NT.

Poythress, Vern S. The Shadow of Christ in the Law of Moses. Brentwood, TN: Wolgemuth & Hyatt, 1991. This work is a fine treatment for seeing the law for what it is…the type and need for Christ who comes to fulfill the Law of God for His people. Long, but worth the read!

SYSTEMATIC AND BIBLICAL THEOLOGIES
Hodge, Charles. Systematic Theology. [Peabody, Mass.]: Hendrickson Publishers, 1999. This systematic theology is one of the finest ever written. Hodge is exegetical, lucid, and worthy of purchase. This is a three-volume work, but well worth the money. Even if you only use this work as a resource, it is still worth every penny. One of my very favorites!

BOOKS ON WORLDVIEW AND CULTURE
Albert Mohler, “Atheism Remix” Dr. Mohler is Dr. Mohler and this is his area of expertise. He is someone whom I admire and appreciate. In this work, he gives a simple presentation of the Godless culture of today. This is a simple read and you should enjoy it.
3.5 out of 5 stars (I give this rating simply because it is not a deep work, but rather simple)
BOOKS ON APOLOGETICS
Sproul, R. C., John H. Gerstner, and Arthur Lindsley. Classical apologetics: a rational defense of the Christian faith and a critique of presuppositional apologetics. Grand Rapids, MI: Zondervan, 1984.
Adams, Jay Edward. The Grand Demonstration: A Biblical Study of The So-Called Problem of Evil. Santa Barbara, CA: EastGate Publishers, 1991.
Great book! Some scholars dismiss Adams as too harsh and not interactive enough. I, however, found his lack of verbosity refreshing. I found his exegesis in the area to be on point and convincing. You might be offended by this work, but often times, the truth hurts.
